Today, thousands of children, and schools, are sadly going without the art & music supplies necessary to provide arts education even once a week. Throughout the country, dedicated teachers are struggling to provide creative programs during and after school, as they battle such constraints as lack of budgeting or funding, and simple material resources. With your help, we can make a difference.
Simple Materials Can Inspire Kids
Many individuals and business owners are surprised to learn that basic secondhand materials can be recycled to create an art class for children in need.
We welcome donations of any art supply that can be used creatively, whether new or used, from recycled items to glitter, paints, sewing materials, pottery wheels and kilns, craft items, photography, and theatrical supplies. Visit our “wish list” to view a list of specific items that students are in significant need of today.
Band instruments, keyboards, and guitars are requested by the majority of our recipients in underserved areas. The Dreaming Zebra Foundation also accepts instruments in need of gentle repair, and collaborates with community sponsors and volunteers to bring them back to life in the hands of local students.
